Fennel contains many useful active ingredients:
Anethole – this is the main active ingredient of fennel. It is antimicrobial (kills germs), and also mimics estrogen, and increases prolactin.
Flavonoids like quercetin and apigenin – these are antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory.
Phenolic compounds such as rosmarinic acid and chlorogenic acids – these are antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.
Terpenes such as fenchone and limonene, which improve wound healing.

Florida larger-sized avocados have less fat and fewer calories than the conventional Haas variety and they’re much healthier too. Not to mention, they’re also a great source of dietary fiber, potassium, folate and vitamins B6 and C.
The avocado is actually a fruit that has a taste similar to a vegetable. And they’re not just for guacamole. Avocados are widely used in salads and main dishes, as well as breads and desserts. For a healthy tip, try replacing mayonnaise with avocado.
Rainbow Chard Pizza
A Crispy Delicious Vegan Treat… Anytime!
Ezekiel Flatbread or your favorite organic wrap with Sauteed Rainbow Chard, Sweet Peppers, Pinto Beans, Red Onion, Homemade Salsa or Sundried Tomato.
Pre-heat oven or toaster oven to 400. Take your defrosted Ezekiel tortilla and place on baking sheet (tip: to keep bottom of tortilla crisp and to avoid getting too soggy, I preheat baking sheet with the oven so that it’s already hot when the tortilla hits it).
Spread thin layer of salsa on tortilla then top with thinly sliced red onion, sauteed rainbow chard and pinto beans. Bake in oven for about 5-7 minutes or until tortilla is crisp and slightly browned. Take out and let cool. Drizzle salsa over top, slice and serve.

Try a cool & refreshing avocado smoothie on a hot Summer day!
Place avocado and milk in blender. Make sure lid is on tight. Blend on high speed until smooth. Add frozen yogurt and ice cubes and continue to blend until smooth and creamy. Serve immediately. Pour any leftovers into an ice cube trey and freeze for later use.
